Unable To Link to Google

Hi,

I started a new game but I am unable to link my Evony account to my google Play account. Each time I try, I keep getting the message "Linking account failed, please go check your device settings". I have tried clearing the Google Play cache, deleting and reinstalling my Google account but nothing works. Can you please assist?

Tried unlinking account but now won't let me link account back up again
Please can this issue be fixed?
